Waterfalls

My dad, Hashim Geloo, came to this country as a young man and brought his young family with him — including a six-year-old me who did not speak English. By second grade I was winning spelling bees against the same kids who would not talk to me the year before.

My dad taught me hard work, honesty, commitment, and the courage to stand against violence, hate and injustice. He sacrificed everything, and he believed in helping the person in front of him. My mom was the same — she sacrificed everything for her kids.

I would not be a lawyer today without them. Their principles are what this practice is built on.

Alongside the practice we build water wells in Pakistan and other places where clean water is hard to come by. We do it in tribute to my dad and my mom — and as a stand against violence, hate and injustice, and against the thinking that allows it.

Why Wells

Water first.

A well changes a village before anything else does. How far women and children have to walk in a day. What illnesses move through a community. Whether a family can stay where they are.

I fund these wells entirely myself — 100% from my work. No donation drives.

Some wells are dedicated in memory of someone. For the families I do this for, that dedication is usually what matters most.

The Work Itself

Built, and handed over.

Wells being drilled, and wells finished and in daily use.

Pro Bono in Virginia

Pro bono in Virginia.

I take pro bono cases for underprivileged families in Virginia.

If money is the reason you have not spoken to a lawyer yet, tell me that when you call. It is less of an obstacle than people think.

To ask about the well project, or to contribute to it, email andigeloolaw@gmail.com or text (703) 585-3323.

Free Consultation

We are here to help you navigate this.

The first conversation is free. Plan for about 15 minutes — sometimes longer. My clock isn’t ticking while we’re talking.

Bring your summons and tell me what happened in your own words. I’m happy to keep answering your questions even after the consult, especially if you’re a nice person. My clients usually are.

And if I’m not the right fit for your case, I’ll tell you.
