In Virginia, it’s not a ticket.

Virginia law defines it broadly. Va. Code § 46.2-852 to § 46.2-868. It can be charged for 85 mph or above, 20 over the limit, racing, or even an accident where police say you drove recklessly.

Waterfalls: wells built in my father’s name.

My path to law began as a writer.
As a writer I learned that individual stories matter. Each one unique. Each one powerful. Everyone has a story worth telling. And justice depends on those stories being heard.
I wrote about Farishta in Virginia Lawyer magazine. A young mother of five, facing four charges over $29.31 and the threat of deportation away from her children. Her file said petit larceny. Her story said something else. When the prosecutor heard it, he dropped all four charges.
Today I focus on criminal defense and traffic law. Speeding. Accident cases. Reckless driving. Misdemeanors and felonies. In state and federal courts.
I approach every case with passion. And I treat every client with the respect and dignity they deserve.
